Singing to the Lions’ is a training manual based on proven psycho-therapeutic interventions that help children and youth overcome fear and violence in their lives. It targets children ages 11+; however adaptations are easily made for younger and older groups, including adults. It is intended for survivors of armed conflict, refugees, adolescents and young people who experienced physical or sexual abuse and other trauma. Through its use of games, drawing, drama and stories, ‘Singing to the Lions’ can be implemented for groups of +/- 20 people in a 3-day workshop or divided into six separate modular sessions of three hours each.
