Mind the Peace: Integrating MHPSS, Peacebuilding and Livelihood Programming: A guidance framework for practitioners

This Guidance Framework presents Interpeace’s principles and methodology for integrating mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS), peacebuilding, and livelihoods programming. It offers practical guidance to bridge gaps between these sectors by clarifying key concepts, methods, and tools, and aims to foster mutual understanding among practitioners from different disciplines. Designed as a primer for Interpeace staff and partners, the Framework seeks to break down silos, enhance cross-sectoral collaboration, and strengthen the collective impact of integrated programming, contributing to ongoing learning, research, and practice in the field.

Integrating MHPSS and peacebuilding: A mapping and recommendations for practitioners

This report guides humanitarian actors, peacebuilding and MHPSS practitioners, policymakers and donors on the bidirectional integration of MHPSS and peacebuilding. It builds upon a global mapping exercise of best practices, field experiences from 28 countries, the lessons learned from eleven program case studies and five country case studies, as well as on the insights from four global consultations with young people, country-based practitioners, and policy and thought leaders. For ease of reference, the Policy Brief (appearing in Annex H of the report) is also displayed below as a stand-alone document.
